Overview

The trek is a wonderful route in the Annapurna region of Nepal, offering spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. This trekking route leads through charming Gurung villages, dense rhododendron forests, and over picturesque suspension bridges. The combination with a safari in Chitwan National Park allows travelers to experience Nepal’s diverse wildlife after their trekking adventure.

Itinerary

    • Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by a representative who will provide an overview of your trek and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Take time to rest and recover from your flight. You may also explore nearby streets and get a feel for the local environment. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

    • After breakfast, drive to Pokhara with scenic stops along the way. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to explore the lakeside area. Pokhara is known for its panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu. From Pokhara, continue by private transport to Naudanda. Overnight stay at Naudanda.

    • Drive from Naudanda to Nayapul and begin your trek. The trail descends gently to Birethanti, crosses the Modi River, and passes through Syauli Bazaar. Continue climbing through Kimche and along a mix of flat and uphill paths to reach Ghandruk. Enjoy views of Modi Khola, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail Mountain. Overnight stay in Ghandruk.

    • Descend to Modi Khola and then climb to Landruk, a traditional village inhabited by Gurung, Magar, and Brahmin communities. Continue on a gently ascending trail to Tolke, passing Bherikharka and climbing to Deorali (2,100m) for panoramic mountain views. The trail then descends gradually through forests to Pothana before reaching Tolke. Overnight stay in Tolke.

    • Trek from Tolke to Dhampus, passing through flat and gently descending trails. Dhampus is a village primarily inhabited by the Gurung community. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and local village life. Overnight stay in Dhampus.

    • Begin the day with a short trek from Dhampus to Phedi (around 2 hours) through scenic landscapes. At Phedi, conclude the trekking section and drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy your last evening in Nepal with an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

    • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home. This marks the end of your trekking journey, taking with you memories of breathtaking landscapes, mountain views, and local culture.
