Experience the world’s highest peak from the Tibetan side on this epic journey to Everest Base Camp (5,200 m). Starting from Kathmandu, travel across the vast, scenic Tibetan plateau — through Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, and Rongbuk Monastery — before standing face-to-face with the mighty north face of Mount Everest. This adventure combines ancient Tibetan culture, sacred monasteries, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, offering a once-in-a-lifetime overland and trekking experience at the roof of the world.

Itinerary

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Kathmandu.

    • Altitude:

      1,400M

      • Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. Tour briefing and rest.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Kathmandu.

      • Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath. Prepare for Tibet travel.
       

       

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Kerung.

    • Altitude:

       2,700M

      • Drive from Kathmandu to the Nepal–Tibet border. Complete immigration and continue to Kerung.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Kerung.

      • Rest and short hikes to help adjust to the altitude.
       

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Tingri.

    • Altitude:

      4300M

      • Drive through the high Tibetan plateau with mountain views of Shishapangma and Cho Oyu.
       

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Rongbuk Monastery Guesthouse.

    • Altitude:

      4980M

      • Continue toward Rongbuk, the world’s highest monastery, with the majestic north face of Mount Everest in view.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Rongbuk.

    • Altitude:

      5200M

      • Trek (or short drive) to Everest Base Camp (Tibet Side). Enjoy spectacular close-up views of Mount Everest. Return to Rongbuk.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Shigatse.

    • Altitude:

      3900M

      • Scenic drive across Tibetan landscapes to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Gyantse.

    • Altitude:

      3950M

      • Visit the seat of the Panchen Lama, then continue to Gyantse. Explore the Kumbum Stupa and Pelkor Chöde Monastery.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Lhasa.

    • Altitude:

      3650M

      • Drive via the beautiful Yamdrok Lake and Karo La Glacier to reach Lhasa.

    • Accommodation:

      Overnight in Lhasa.

      • Explore Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Market — the spiritual and cultural heart of Tibet.

    • Transfer to Lhasa airport for your onward flight to Kathmandu or China.
